Can I bring my daughter? YES!

I just got an e-mail from a woman coming down from Humboldt County. She asked if she could bring her 13 year old daughter.  YES!  If you have girls in middle school or high school that you think would enjoy hanging out with women geeks, they’re more than welcome to participate at the conference.   If you have an infant you are welcome to bring him or her along too.

At the first She’s Geek Julia French brought her 9 year old daughter and she had a great time.

In December NYC we had 8 girls and two adult volunteers from Camp Interactive a program that takes a risk youth camping out in nature & gives them access to digital cameras to document their adventures.  It also teaches them to make websites and other digital skills.   They had an amazing time. One of the most powerful things said at the conference was durring the closing one of the girls said – “there is no shame in being a geek”. It made all of us smile and know that this weekend likely made a big difference in terms of helping these young women seeing nothing wrong with a future pursuing their natural interest in geeky things.

Please register your daughters if you plan on bringing them along.  If you need help to have them attend with you, please contact us so we can give you a discount code for registration.
